Who we are

US MoverLedger is run by XCELL TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED ("we", "us"). We decide how the information described here is used.

Information you send us

  • Customer reports. The company you dealt with, what happened, the month and route of the move, quoted and demanded prices, your description, and, if you choose, your email address and documents such as your contract or bill of lading. We use these to review the report. Your name, email and documents are never published; any published summary has personal details removed.
  • Company requests. Your name, role, work email, optional phone number, message and any evidence link. We use them to handle the request and reply to you.
  • Claim verification. If a company verifies a claim, we email a 6-digit code to the address on the company's FMCSA registration. We keep only a scrambled form of the code until it expires.
  • Mover alerts. Your email address and the company you want to watch. We send a confirmation first and send alerts only after you confirm. Every alert has a link to stop them.
  • Emails you send us. Whatever you include, to answer you.

Information collected automatically

  • Searches. When you submit a search, we record the search text and how many results it found, so we can see what people can't find. Phone numbers are replaced with "[phone]", searches containing an email address are not recorded, and the record carries no IP address or other identifier. Suggestions shown while you type are not recorded.
  • Security and abuse prevention. We use your IP address to limit how often forms can be sent, and keep it with any report, request or alert sign-up you send, for 90 days, to deal with abuse.
  • Error reports. If a page breaks in your browser, it sends us the error message, the page address (without anything after "?"), and your browser's name and version. These reports contain no IP address and are deleted after 90 days.
  • Hosting. Our hosting provider processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the service, and may keep short-term technical logs.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics (through Google's Firebase service) to see which pages and tools are useful and where people give up, for example how many searches lead to a company profile, or how many people who start a report send it. It records the pages you view, the site you came from, your approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and steps such as "search made", "result opened", "report started" or "report sent", tied to a random identifier stored in a cookie. It never receives what you type into a search or form, your name, email address, the companies you report, the price on your quote, or anything after "?" in a page address other than campaign tags. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and the data isn't used for advertising. Analytics isn't loaded on our review tool, and isn't loaded at all if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. You can also block it with Google's opt-out add-on.

Your browser and cookies

Our only cookies are Google Analytics' (_ga and _ga_…), which hold a random identifier so repeat visits can be counted. They expire after 13 months, and you can delete them in your browser at any time. If you choose a light or dark theme, your browser remembers the choice in its own storage; it never leaves your device.

We don't currently show third-party ads. If we start, we'll update this page first and explain how to opt out.

Public records about companies and people

Company profiles are built from public records published by FMCSA. Some of those records contain information about people: the names of company officers, and business phone numbers and addresses, which for a small company may also be a person's own. We show these because they are part of the official record and help customers check who they are dealing with.

  • We never show the personal cell phone numbers or the registration email addresses in FMCSA's records. We use registration emails only to send a company its claim verification code.
  • We don't create pages about individuals, and officer names are not used as page titles or search terms.
  • If a record shows your personal information and you believe it shouldn't, write to service@oxcellion.com. We'll review it, and correct or limit what we show where the law allows. Changes to the official record itself have to be made with FMCSA.

How we use information

We use information to run and secure the site; review and publish customer reports and company replies; handle claims and corrections; send the alerts and codes you asked for; find gaps in our data; fix errors; and meet legal obligations. We don't use it to build profiles of you, and we don't send marketing email.

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal information, and we don't give it to moving companies, brokers or lead buyers. A company never learns who wrote a report about it. We share information only with:

  • Service providers that work for us under contract: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage and sending email), Google (analytics, as described above).
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order, or to protect someone's safety.
  • A buyer or successor, if the site is sold or merged, under a promise to keep this policy or tell you first.

How long we keep it

InformationKept for

Reports and requests we decline1 year after our decision, then deleted with any documents
Published reports: your original text, email and documents1 year after publication; after that only the published summary and facts remain
Alert sign-ups never confirmed14 days
Alert sign-ups after you unsubscribe30 days
Claim verification codes1 day after they expire (they expire after 30 minutes)
Error reports90 days
Google Analytics events14 months, then deleted by Google
Search records (anonymized)2 years

We may keep information longer if the law requires it or to deal with a legal claim.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to service@oxcellion.com. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Virginia and other states with privacy laws, you have these rights by law, along with the right to appeal our decision and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We don't sell or share personal information in that sense.

To protect you, we may ask you to confirm a request from the email address involved. You can use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of their authority. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. We reply within 45 days. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer; if you're not satisfied with the appeal, you can contact your state attorney general.

Deleting a published report removes it from the site. Public-record information about a company comes from FMCSA and stays on its profile while it is in the official record.

Children

The site is not meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use encrypted connections, keep documents in private storage that only reviewers can open, limit who can access submissions, and require a sign-in for the review tool. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Visitors outside the US

The site is meant for people moving within the United States. Its servers, and the information described here, are in the United States, so if you use it from elsewhere your information is processed there.

Changes

We'll update this page and its effective date when our practices change, and we'll make the change clear on the site before it takes effect if it affects information we already hold.
